Review Model

Lex Global Review of Law and Justice strictly adheres to a double-anonymized peer-review model. The identities of the authors are concealed from the reviewers, and the identities of the reviewers are concealed from the authors throughout the entire editorial lifecycle.

Initial Editorial Screening

Every submission undergoes an initial desk screening by the Editorial Team prior to external peer review to assess:

• Relevance and alignment with the journal's aims and scope

• Originality, substantive depth, and contribution to legal jurisprudence

• Methodological soundness, logical structure, and legal reasoning

• Textual similarity, overlap, and plagiarism screening via automated similarity software

• Compliance with formatting, ethical requirements, and author anonymization guidelines

Manuscripts failing to meet baseline academic rigor or falling outside the journal's scope will be desk-rejected without external review.

Reviewer Assignment & Evaluation Criteria

Submissions clearing initial screening are assigned to at least two independent subject-matter experts. Reviewers evaluate manuscripts against established benchmarks:

• Novelty and relevance of the research question

• Depth of doctrinal, theoretical, or empirical analysis

• Accuracy and currency of primary statutory and judicial authorities

• Structure, clarity of exposition, and adherence to academic citation standards.

Editorial Decisions & Timelines

Based on reviewer reports, the Chief & Managing Editor takes one of the following decisions:

(a) Accept without revisions

(b) Accept subject to minor revisions

(c) Reconsider following major revisions

(d) Reject

The typical review cycle takes approximately 4 to 8 weeks.
